Love Music Hate Racism have shared an announcement after the former Zutons guitarist Boyan Chowdhury suffered a racist assault in Liverpool.
On Sunday (March 22), Chowdhury posted on Instagram to disclose that he had sustained a big blow to his head by a “gang of lads” on Saturday afternoon within the Wavertree space of town, which cut up his head open “right down to the cranium”.
Chowdhury wrote: “I used to be racially attacked by a gang of lads yesterday afternoon. Obtained known as a PAKI, SAND NIGGER and DIRTY ARAB. Then one of [them] ran at me from the facet with a two foot lengthy piece of wooden. If I hadn’t of turned round I imagine I would’ve been struck on the again of the top and lifeless proper now.”
