Mitsubishi won’t be a part of Honda-Nissan merger


Based on a report by Reuters, Mitsubishi is contemplating not becoming a member of the deliberate merger between Honda and Nissan. Sources informed the information outlet that Mitsubishi, which is 34.01% owned by Nissan, plans to stay listed on the Tokyo Inventory Trade whereas working along with each automakers.

Final December, it was confirmed that Honda and Nissan have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to discover the potential for a merger. Each firms purpose to achieve a definitive settlement regarding execution of the enterprise integration (together with the share switch plan) by June 2025, following which a holding firm can be arrange by August 2026.
